The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
